SYNOPSIS
Ashok Bansal is a multimillionaire industrialist. As a result of an unfortunate
childhood incident he has come to the conclusion that money is the only
important thing in life. Hence he lives a life devoid of love and emotion.
His younger sister Suneeta has a soft corner for one of his staff members
but lives in fear under the shadow of her brother's rigid rules and regulations.
For his youngest brother Anil (Shah Rukh Khan), the family mansion is like
a jail. Anil loves Kavita, a middle class girl, and intends to marry her.
When Ashok learn about his plans there is a dramatic confrontation between
two brothers and Anil walks out to marry Kavita.
Ashok marries Suneeta off to industrialist Pradeep Malik, unaware that
he is a debauch who has married Suneeta only for a possible share of his
wealth. With the departure of Anil and Suneeta, Ashok Bansal is left alone
in the four walls of his mansion.
Munna is a bold orphan girl who stays in an orphanage run by a strict alcoholic
Shanti Devi, who derives pleasure in beating children. Munna escapes from
the orphanage and comes into Ashok Bansal's life. Seeing his wealth, she
names him King Uncle. The naughty tyke breaks all his rigid rules and discipline
and an irked Ashok Bansal drops her back to the orphanage, but later starts
missing her. With the help of Ashok's secretary Fanny (Anu Agarwal), Munna
transforms the hard-hearted disciplinarian into a kind and loving human
being.
During the course of his transformation Ashok falls in love with Fanny.
The changed Ashok Bansal desires his family back. Upon enquiry he learns
that his sister Suneeta is being tortured by her husband and that his brother
Anil is working as a motor mechanic in a garage. Ashok realises the folly
of his ways and remarries Suneeta and brings Anil and Kavita back home.
After the family reunion Ashok decides to legally adopt Munna but at the
last minute Munna's long lost parents return to claim their daughter.
