Sunil is in love with his childhood friend Anna (Suchitra Krishnamoorthi),
the lead singer of the band, but so is Chris (Deepak Tijori), the lead guitarist.
Sunil tries his best to keep Chris away from Anna but one day Chris and
Anna gradually come closer.
Sunil realises that he might be losing Anna. In a desperate attempt to
win Anna's heart he creates a misunderstanding between her and Chris. But
his success is short-lived as Anna soon learns the truth and is shocked
at Sunil's audacity. Rejected by Anna and thrown out of the band, Sunil
makes up for his behaviour by saving the band from getting booed during
their first performance at Chinatown. Anna and his bandmates happily forgive
him and accept him back into the band.

to note his courage. After this sequence he grows closer to his parents.
The story takes a surprise turn when Chris' parents announce their desire
to get him married to a rich girl of their choice. Taking advantage of the
God-sent opportunity, Sunil woos Anna once again and Anna also gets ready
to marry Sunil. Just when he takes the ring to her, Chris returns and promises
Anna that he will leave his parents and marry her. But Anna is not ready
to leave Sunil who, she realizes now, loves her very much. It is Sunil who,
for once, redeems himself by making a sacrifice and in the final scene Chris
and Anna get married. During the wedding ceremony, the wedding ring falls
down and Sunil, only for a moment, is tempted to hide it so that the marriage
doesn't happen. In the final scene, Sunil is walking down a deserted road
late at night when he encounters a beautiful girl (Juhi Chawla).
